Behavioral Analyst

CONTRACT / IN PERSON

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Report directly to the Program Director

  • Provide expert guidance in effective strategies to help clients reduce behavioral excesses and develop new skills

  • Create appropriate individual behavioral plans as-needed

  • Participate in individual client assessment processes as-needed

  • Lead and/or participate in staff and client problem-solving group meetings

  • Provide staff supervision, training and support as-needed

  • Work with staff to improve clients’ behavior and mitigate behavioral disturbances by teaching alternatives to maladaptive behaviors

  • Observe and record client behaviors and devise a plan to encourage new, more productive ones by utilizing conditioning and positive reinforcement methods

Qualified Candidates Must Have:

  • Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification or license in Psychology or Marriage and Family Therapy

  • At least 1 year (12 months) experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities 

  • A clear criminal record

Supervisor

FULL TIME / IN PERSON

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Report directly to the Program Director

  • Initiate contact with perspective program participants and complete the pre-admissions process and evaluation  

  • Ensure that clients and/or authorized representatives are satisfied with the program services detailed in the ISP

  • Plan, schedule and manage assigned staff to achieve program objectives and client outcomes

  • Coordinate with the regional center on the implementation of IPP/ISP objectives 

  • Regularly assess the program’s effectiveness in achieving clients objectives, identifying barriers to success and how to overcome them

  • Complete progress reports, analyzing clients’ progress towards their ISP objectives

  • Assist in evaluating staff implementation of consumer IPP goals

  • Contact clients’ family and/or caregivers as-needed to discuss any problems or concerns with the client 

  • Train and onboard new trainers and coaches 

  • Conduct in-service meetings and any other staff meetings as-needed

  • Maintain client records and case notes

  • Ensure any special incident reports are completed and submitted in a timely manner

  • Ensures all Individual Service Plans are completed correctly and in a timely manner

  • Assist trainers in organizing and supervising any direct services to clients

  • Attend professional development trainings as-needed to maintain and enhance delivery of service

  • Other miscellaneous duties as-assigned

Qualified Candidates Must Have:

  • A high school diploma or GED

  • 4 year college degree preferred, but not required

  • At least 2 years experience working as a supervisor

  • At least 2-4 years experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities 

  • A valid California Driver’s License and automobile liability insurance

  • The mental and physical ability to perform assigned position duties and direct emergency policies and procedures

  • A clear criminal record

  • Completed and cleared TB test

Direct Support Professional

NON-EXEMPT / HOURLY / IN PERSON

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Report directly to the Program Director

  • Assist in developing clients’ individual goals and objectives

  • Assist clients with activities of daily living (including restroom assistance, personal hygiene, socialization, pursuing employment, etc.)

  • Provide individualized instruction and support for clients with various developmental challenges and/or abilities

  • Implement community-based supported employment and community inclusion services

  • Adhere to set, assigned schedule (and call in schedule changes as-needed to)

  • Transport clients to and from community-based activities (including driving and accompanying clients on public transportation)

  • Document clients’ individual progress on a daily basis

  • Document incident reports as-needed in a timely manner

  • Report any special incidents to the Program Director, and report any suspected abuse or negligence incidents to the appropriate reporting services according to applicable laws and regulations

  • Encourage our clients’ independence and dignity while ensuring their personal safety in the community

  • Handle and report any emergency situations and challenges per the program guidelines

  • Other miscellaneous duties as-assigned

  • Fulfill the mission, goals and objectives of ADAMS Enrichment Program

Qualified Candidates Must Have:

  • A high school diploma or GED

  • At least 2-4 years experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities 

  • A valid California Driver’s License and automobile liability insurance

  • Reliable, safe and clean vehicle with current registration and insurance

  • Ability to lift between 50-75 lbs depending on individuals served

  • Ability to work independently with or without direct supervision

  • The mental and physical ability to perform assigned position duties and direct emergency policies and procedures

  • Reliable, sound judgment and the ability to adapt to changes in circumstances based on clients’ needs

  • Clear written and verbal communication skills (must be able to read, speak and write English)

  • Must pass post-offer physical

  • Must pass criminal background check

  • Must complete CPR and First Aid training by the end of the second week of employment
